Welcome to the Sexual Child Abuse Relief and Services Inc. (S.C.A.R.S.) website.
Here victims of sexual child abuse can find support, resources, and when they're ready...... their voice!
We provide sexual child abuse victims, their families, parents, educators, and others with informational resources including, definitions of all forms of sexual child abuse, sexual child abuse statistics, state laws (civil and criminal), signs of sexual child abuse, what to do when sexual child abuse is suspected, and more. Our visitors are encouraged to contact us with suggestions or to request information regarding sexual child abuse not present on our website.
We as victims must stand together and make our voices heard. It is here and now that we make it known that pedophiles, child molesters, and those who support sexual child abuse, will no longer be able to hide behind our silence.
United We Stand, Silent No More!
"Helping Victims Rise From The Ashes"
Logo design by Paul McLaughlin and Kayla McLaughlin (Daughter)
Sexual child abuse is a crime that leaves its victims filled with guilt, shame, humiliation, depression, helplessness, etc.
Much like the mythical Phoenix, victims can rise from the ashes, emerging with hope, strength, and courage. If we must be defined by our victimization, let that definition be:
"One who has suffered the indignities, humiliation, guilt, and shame from the crimes committed against them, who has risen from the depths of sorrow and despair, a symbol of strength, courage, and hope, in short .... A PHOENIX." (Paul McLaughlin, S.C.A.R.S. Founder, President)
